TODDLER / PRESCHOOL BUILDING

Designed for children preparing for the preschool experience. Children's activities will be more hands on. They will have more structured time, yet still have plenty of free choice activities which is the building block for independence.

Our trained staff always encourages the children to try something new, and our curriculum is based on the RI Early Learning Standards. Written by a certified Early Childhood Education Teacher.

OLDER TODDLERS:

Older toddlers will be:

  • potty training
  • preparing to move into the preschool classroom
  • enjoying a separate playground to ensure their safety while they are running, climbing, sliding and exploring.

PRESCHOOL:

Preschoolers (3 years old) are becoming more independent thinkers.  Teachers encourage the children to raise their hands and ask questions, building the child’s self esteem and confidence.

It is our goal to help all students achieve the appropriate academic skills needed for this age level by:

  • Promoting number skills with daily calendar and weather time.
  • Developing Fine motor skills through activities including coloring, printing, tracing and painting.
  • Recognizing the uniqueness of each child, WIZ KIDS always encourages children to express their needs and creativity.
  • Climbing, running, using large muscles, developing coordination, and utilizing gross motor skills in a well designed safety minded separate playground.
